Next year you will become master (40 years), will you start compete in master then?
Yes I'm looking forward to start in master and be the youngest not the oldest.

You started as an international referee in Poland 2001 and got the Master Referee at 2004 and now you are now head referee of Germany. Are you often holding referee eductations?

We always do like a breathing before the tournament to talk about the rules and discuss if someone have any questions.

Are you going to hold any educations now in March when you are in Sweden?

If you want me to I'll will, If I can help the sport and the competitors to make the sport become better
and we need more good referee that speak english.

Camilla Kättström, GERMANY and Zhanna Chingule, LATVIA

Some changes you want to see in the sport?

More drug tests to make the sport clean.

What to you like the rules at World Challenge that the referees only says STILL......GO and not ready GO?

I don't think thats good because we have a lot of people who don't speak good english so I think it's better to use the same word as on international tournaments, every one will understand then.

Heidi Andersson is married to the biathlon athlet Björn Ferry (now competing at the Olympics in Vancouver) and his trainer Wolfgang Pichler is from Germany. Did you know that his father trained the first national team of Germany in armwrestling?

No I didn't now that, Thats funny, It's like my story, my grandfathers mother is from Germany so when i move here my grandfather sad to me that i closed the cirkel.

What is your best armwrestling memory?

My two silver medals in 1998 at the worlds in Thunder Bay and when I got my master referee in 2004

Do you think Irina Makeeva will beat Conny Sandberg (Swedish junior champion in 70kg)? They will meet in a supermatch after World Challenge at the Museum of World Culture.

Yes she will win! She is very good

Something else you want to tell us

I wish more people could anderstand the spirit of armwrestling for me has been and still are somthing very special, I have learned a lot and the sport have given me selfconfidential and I have friends all over the world and we all share the pasion for the sport.

Thank you Camilla and GOOD LUCK!
