Malin Gavelin 19,

studies her last

(third) year at the

armwrestling

school in Storuman,

Sweden.

Malin will travel by bus 1 100km from Lapland to Gothenburg to compete in -50kg at World Challenge March 8, that's a long trip. It takes about 14 hours.

- Is it worth it?
It is definitely worth it.
To both get a break with incredibly talented girls and see who will be this year's strongest woman. It is a great experience that you do not want to miss out.

The city Storuman, where the armwrestling school are situated.

We have heard that people use to call you MiniMalin, what do you like about that?

- Ha ha!  I'm very short and weigh only 40 kg. Presenting myself often as little malin for them to know who I am. Therefore I don't mind being called MiniMalin.

Hope there will be more female arm wrestlers in the future. Hopefully in the future there will be a -45 women's category.

Tell us a little about the armwrestling school?
I think it's very good to workout at school because it's fun to learn more about training and diet, work out with friends and to get a grade in armwrestling.

What is your favorite exercise?
To train with my own body weight, I think, is among the funniest. I have no real favorite exercise, but everything has to be done so you just need to keep on fighting and smile!

You started to armwrestle 3 years ago,
why did you start?
When I was younger there was one guy in my class who practised arm wrestling and I thought it sound very nice.  A few years later I moved to Storuman and heard thatthere was a club there and I tried arm wrestling. After a few practices, I just had to continue.

What do like to do in your spare time?

When I don't train, I rest, eat a lot and do my homework.

Thank You Malin and WELCOME to Gothenburg!
